When our clients want additional help reaching out to media outlets to increase their media appearances we turn to The Nicole Hawkins Consulting Group (formerly Nicole Hawkins Communications). The NHC Group works with sports and entertainment, non-profit, and corporate clients on strategic positioning, branding, event planning, public relations, and community outreach.
Prior to founding The NHC Group, Nicole was the Director of Public Relations for the Washington Wizards (NBA) where she worked closely with players including Michael Jordan and Gilbert Arenas. She was responsible for pitching and facilitating media interviews, planning press conferences and other special events, producing team-related publications and traveling with the team to ensure all media relations requirements were met. In what many think is a man’s world, Nicole was the first African American woman to hold the position of Public Relations Director for an NBA franchise. Prior to the Wizards, Nicole worked with various promoters and artists as the Director of Public Relations for Washington Sports and Entertainment.

That’s when we bring in Taylor Strategic Partnerships. Lisa Taylor has garnered diverse experience in strategic philanthropy, public relations, and training facilitation through 14 years of work with non-profit organizations, corporations and individuals. Ms. Taylor’s clients are impressed with her ability to quickly assess their needs and goals and provide solutions for their non-profit administration or community relations requirements.
Ms. Taylor has had extensive experience working with boards of directors, medical professionals, high net-worth donors, professional athletes, and people concerned with human and animal welfare. She developed her unique perspective and experience in positions as Division Director of Development for the National Kidney Foundation; Director of External Relations for Days End Farm Horse Rescue; and Associate Director of Development and alumni relations for the University of Maryland’s College of Behavioral and Social Sciences.
Kathy Wilson

When Lothery & Associates works with athletes and other sports figures, we find that our clients also need life skills and transition help to move from a career in sports to business. That’s when we call upon Coach Kathy Wilson. Kathy is a former collegiate and professional basketball player and coach, and Training & Development expert in the Washington, DC area. Her path to this field began with her coaching women’s collegiate basketball for seven years at The University of Mississippi (1997-1999) and The George Washington University (1999-2004). In 2002, while still coaching collegiate basketball at GW, she founded her own company, Life Leadership Unlimited, LLC, and began coaching people to create better lives for themselves. In 2004 Kathy left women’s collegiate basketball in order to expand her services and devote herself full time to helping people discover how to live their most powerful lives.
She also volunteers her time with the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE). Kathy is the author of Not Your Mother’s 40! How to Live a Powerful, Fit, Fabulous & Healthy Lifestyle at 40 and Beyond! and SUCCEED AT CHANGE! Understanding and Mastering the Change Process, Parts 1 & 2. In addition to her training, Kathy has expanded her focus to empowering professional women to discover their power within their imperfections. With passion and energy, Kathy espouses the concepts of powerful living, and commits herself to the values of possibility, empowerment, and transformation.
